Can I send my child unaccompanied by a parent or guardian? Yes, children under the age of eight must be accompanied by someone age 15 years or older. An unaccompanied child is a passenger between the ages of eight and 14 years old (inclusive, NO EXCEPTIONS) and may travel unaccompanied if the following conditions are met in their entirety:

  1. Unaccompanied minors must have an UNACCOMPANIED CHILD FORM completed for them. An Unaccompanied Child Form must be filled in for each direction of travel (round trip would require two completed forms).
  2. The child must be met at the destination station by the person specified on the Unaccompanied Child Form and present their ID indicated on the form to the Driver. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
  3. If two or more children between the ages of eight and 14 are traveling together (without a passenger 15 years of age or older) each child must have a completed Unaccompanied Child Form.
  4. Trip must begin during daylight hours and end by 8:00pm.
  5. Under no circumstances should any child be bumped on any trip.
  6. The destination terminal/agency must be open upon arrival.
  7. The unaccompanied child and the parent/guardian should be at the terminal at least 30 minutes before departure.

Where can I catch the bus in Invermere?  The bus stop is at the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Information Centre located at 651 Hwy 93/95 just south of Tim Hortons.

Where can I catch the bus in Calgary? The bus stops and picks up at  #5 Entrance at North Hill Shopping Centre at 1632 14 Ave NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1M6

How much is a one way ticket? There are 2 fares, $60 for seniors (65 and over) and $80 regular fare plus GST.

How much is a round trip ticket? Double the price of a one way ticket.

Will the bus make any other stops? The bus will stop for a 10-15 minute break at the Visitor Centre in Canmore.

Is the bus wheelchair accessbile? Yes we reserve spaces for 2 wheelchairs on each journey. More can be accommodated via special request and a minimum 24 hours notice.

What are the departure and arrival times? Depart Invermere at 9:00 am Arrive Calgary at 12:30 pm / Depart Calgary at 3:30 pm Arrive Invermere at 7:00 pm

Will you do a highway pick up or drop off? Due to driver regulations and respect for other passengers’ time commitments we are not able to offer additional pick up and drop off locations.

Do I have to buy my ticket online? Yes however if you would prefer to call the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce during office hours (250)342-2844 someone will be pleased to complete the online transaction for you.

Can I buy a ticket if I don’t have a credit card? Yes, you can call the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce (250)342-2844 and they will make the reservation for you however payment must be received within 24 hours of your first departure.

When should I arrive? Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your departure. The bus driver will not wait past the scheduled departure time.

Are CV Transit tickets refundable? Fares are non-refundable. However, tickets can be exchanged for another date and time for a fee of $20. Exchange must take place prior to the scheduled travel date. If exchange request is not made prior to scheduled travel date the ticket will be null and void. All exchanges will be based on schedule availability.

I have a partially used ticket. How do I receive a refund? A “partially used ticket” means you purchased a ticket and did not complete the trip prior to the final destination. Partially used tickets are not refundable. Partially used round trip-tickets may be submitted for exchange for a $20 fee.

The bus was late. Am I entitled to a refund? No. While CV Transit makes every effort to provide on-time service, it does not guarantee its departure and arrival times, which may be affected by any number of factors including weather, traffic, or mechanical problems. CV Transit is not liable for any inconvenience or expense caused as a result of such a delay.

What if the bus is cancelled? In the unlikely event that a scheduled trip is cancelled due to weather, road incidents or mechanical issues your ticket will be fully refundable by the operator of CV Transit, Olympus Stage Lines. Or you can re-schedule your trip at no charge.

I lost my ticket. How can I replace it? Just call the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce and they will issue you a replacement ticket for $5.

Can I exchange my ticket for a different travel date or time? Yes, however, there will be a $20 fee.

Why is the Calgary stop North Hill Centre? In consultation with community stakeholders it was determined that North Hill Centre was ideal for a number of reasons:  proximity to Foothills Hospital, accommodation, Childrens’ Hospital, University of Calgary, SAIT, has a C-Train Station that will allow passengers affordable transportation to other Calgary locations and easy access from 16th Avenue NW.
