The Columbia Valley Transit Service would not be possible without the support and collaboration of a number of organizations.

The service provider is Olympus Stage Lines Ltd. who operates the BC Transit service under contract to the RDEK and the Medical Bus with service to Cranbrook under contract to Interior Health.

The bus station provider is the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce (CVCC) under a fee for service agreement with Olympus Stage Lines the CVCC will provide bus station and ticketing services for travellers.

CFEK Board Member Sarah Bennett and CFEK staff Keri Sanderman present CVCC Board Treasurer Mark Digney with $5000 for the CV Transit Initiative as a recognition of the initiative’s economic impact.

Community Future East Kootenay (CFEK) recognizing the positive economic impact that this service will provide to the Columbia Valley, the CFEK granted the CVCC with $5,000 to assist with the development of the website and administrative start up expenses incurred by the CVCC.

To keep fares reasonable and provide local business with another affordable opportunity to promote their business along the route advertising on and in the bus are available. Thank you to the Invermere Health Care Auxiliary Society for being the first to make a 5 year commitment to advertising the Invermere Thrift Store on the bus.
